Safeguarding

St Paul's Church takes safeguarding of children and adults who are vulnerable seriously.

Our PCC have adopted the House of Bishops Safeguarding Policies and Practice Guidance as well as the ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy statement and ‘Domestic Abuse’ parish statements. We follow safer recruiting guidelines, clergy are DBS checked through the diocese and the PCC undertake DBS checks through thirtyoneeight (previously known as CCPAS) for volunteers working with children and adults who may be vulnerable.

If you have any safeguarding concerns our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Beth Hart who can be contacted by email at beth@bethhart.co.uk or on 07857 905021 or our Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser is Jeremy Hirst and he can be contacted by email at safeguarding@stalbans.anglican.org or by telephone on 01727 818107 or 07867 350886.
